Content systems, not content calendars

A calendar tells you when to publish. A system tells you what to publish and why it should exist at all.

Calendars fail quietly

They survive about six weeks. Then a launch moves, someone is on holiday, and the grid becomes a list of obligations nobody can trace back to a business goal.

Pillars, formats, cadence

A system defines three things: the small number of subjects you are credible on, the repeatable formats those subjects fit into, and a cadence your team can hold in a bad month rather than a good one.

Design for reuse

One piece of substantial research should produce a long-form article, a set of social formats, a section of a sales deck and an email. If a piece of content only has one life, the economics rarely work.

Review by subject, not by post

Judge pillars quarterly, not individual posts weekly. Individual performance is noisy; subject performance is a signal.
