Challenge
A single visual identity has to hold together hundreds of pieces of communication produced by people who will never meet.
Approach
We designed a system with strict rules and loose surfaces: fixed grid and type, open colour and imagery per venue.
Creative direction
Oversized typography, granite and tile textures drawn from the city, and a generative poster system.
Execution
Identity toolkit, programme website with filtering by venue and discipline, wayfinding and social templates.
Results
Intended measures: programme page engagement, venue participation and toolkit adoption rate.
This is a concept project. No client performance data is presented — the section below describes intended outcomes and how they would be measured.
Key takeaways
Distributed identities survive through constraints, not through control.
